With our countryside setting, we are surrounded by some lovely walks of all distances and challenges. We are just a few hundred meters from an official walking route that interconnects with others that when combined extend for miles.
Aside from these more formal paths, there are routes offering a combination of lanes, farm tracks / bridleways and footpaths that take one through fields of sunflowers, vines and woods.
For those interested in wildlife, the walks around the reservoirs a few kilometers away at Soumensac are a personal favourite.
Serious explorers will want to head upstream in the Dordogne valley where there are a number of trails that follow enchanting tours of history and prehistory – from the troglodyte caves that extend from Les Eyzies to St Leon-sur-Vezere, to the secret bread ovens established by Jacques le Croquant.
